Reviews of White Cat Caravan Park

Below is a selection of reviews from previous visitors.

August 2003 This was our first experience of camping, so we couldn't compare with other sites - but this site was wonderful. It was so clean and tidy, the showers were hot, and the toilet blocks were clean. The owners, Kevin & Sue, were to be seen out & about cleaning every day and were very friendly and helpful. There is a small shop on site with the basics, and a small childrens play area. We thought it was lovely - very peaceful, clean and friendly. What more could we ask for?

August 2004 Just got back (literally) after 4 days away at this campsite. What can I say? The owners, Kevin & Sue, are fantastic. They are very friendly and helpful. They work very hard making you welcome and keeping the site clean & tidy. The on-site shop has the bare essentials, but the owners will help you out where they can (we forgot can opener, so they lent us theirs) Showers are hot & free, washing up facilities are hot & free, in short, an excellent campsite! we stopped over bank holiday weekend, Kevin was mainly concerned that we had enough space (tent!). Great place to eat, I don't know if I should be telling you this, is the Three Horseshoes. Looks like a shed but the food and the price is fantastic! but nowhere to sit outside if you have a dog! Will be definately going there again!!

July 2005 The White Cat is a very tidy & friendly site as has been said before. The toilets and showers were very clean and central. Nice touches like the flower tubs and also 5 day weather forecast put up in toilet block. The site is just off the Boston to Skegness road with plenty to do and see in the area. First time camping for a long time and really enjoyed the site.

May 2006 What an excellent caravan/camping site, Kevin and Sue go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The whole site is immaculately kept, toilets are spotless plenty of hot water too! Not got one complaint at all,the whole week we spent there was brilliant! Sue went out of her way on several occasions to help us, there are numerous leaflets on display for days out. If you need anything you only have to ask, couldn't have been any more help to us,the kids all four of them want to go back ! I only wish more sites were like this, pay it a visit you won't be disappointed !

June 2006 Having just retired, my wife and I decided to try camping again (34 years since last time) and we could not have chosen a better site. The owners, Kev & Sue, went out of their way to make us welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The site was spotless as were the toilets, showers (free) etc. We would recommend this site to anyone.

May 2007 What a lovely site, the owners were very welcoming and the site was spotless. The toilet / showers/ washroom were checked regularly and very clean; plenty of hot water for a shower and no queueing even though it was Bank Holiday weekend. Lots of leaflets & info of places to visit etc so no need to find the local tourist info point. A small shop that had basic items but open 8am till 8pm. Children made to feel very welcome although only a small play area with a few swings the children soon made lots of friends. Found a lovely pub down the road called "The Admiral Nelson" who did great food and were very welcoming they even did food on a Sunday evening which we found most of the pubs locally didn't. We will definitely visit this site again when in the area. although next time can we have the weather as well

March 2008 Booked this site for Easter in order to test our New caravan before our main holiday in April. What can we say but a very very pleasant site. Arrived Friday 21st March for the Easter weekend, we we were greated by Kevin who was extremely helpful to me (the wife) on pitching the caravan while hubby went to pay. Very clean well kept site, very clean toilets and showers. So much to do but weather was real bad with snow,,, but kids enjoyed it and our pet dog poppy loved it. Would definitely go back to this site. Nothing was too much for these people thank you again

August 2008 Fantastic! It was our first tented, extended-family holiday ever. 3 tents, 6 adults and 3 young children. Ages ranged from 2.5yrs to 55-ish. We couldn't have done better. The whole site was imacculate. A real tribute to Kevin's hard work. Fire alarms/hoses well situated as were the electric hook-ups and drinking water taps. Toilets spotless, well lit, paper ALWAYS available, even soap at each basin! Loo brushes too. No time limits to the free hot showers! The play area was adequate for this size of site. The dog excercising area was even manicured! By not having direct access to the pet's field at the rear of the site does mean the children can't just wander off into that area. Local pubs keep strange hours for meals. Best enquire BEFORE making any firm plans. However, we never had a bad meal at any local eatery. Butterwick village is the nearest chippy (approx 1ml. They cook to order, so obtain their number and try to ring ahead to save a wait. For a small village, they do a surprising range of hot foods (even menus aimed at the little ones!). Cheapest places for fuel we found were in Boston (8mls away). Follow the signs for Grantham and you'll come to Asda (pay at the pump only), then approx 1ml further on: Tesco (both on your right hand side). There have been comments about the noise from the A52. It was not an issue for us. After 10pm, the site settles down and our children slept fitfully. It was so peaceful, the parents could adjourn to our tent for an evening of cards and still be able to hear if the children did stir. No noisy club house, no late night revellers. Peace and security at the end of the day. We certainly intend to go back and use White Cat as a base for our future Lincolnshire visits. Sue and Kevin couldn't have been more pleasent and helpful. We wish them every success, and thanks for making it a camping heaven.

May 2009 First visit to this site and what a little gem. Lovely people, lovely site. Quiet, peaceful, clean and tidy. Toilets were dated, but kept in excellent order and lots of little touches which make all the difference. Leaflets of activities in area, maps, little on site shop, newspaper orders, bread etc. Prices very good, will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

July 2009 We received a very warm welcome from the owners upon arrival and were promptly shown to our pitching area. This is a lovely site, not too big and a good mixture of camping and caravans. The shower/toilet block was very good and clean and these were checked to ensure toilet paper, soap etc was available every day. The camp is well lit at night. There are plenty of water and electric points around the park and a nice little shop on site for any forgotten essentials or fresh bread, eggs, etc. We would recommend the Barley Mow is you want a really nice meal in the area - its about 5 miles away but the food is excellent.Closer to base was a walk to the Bricklayers Arms - food was ok but nothing special. Overall for a quiet break away we would rate this highly.

August 2009 We are first time campers and this site was great. Toilets and showers were clean. A small shop on site was great for milk, bread and exchanging ice boxes. We had a meal at the Bricklayers Arms and the food was lovely and the staff friendly. The White Heart pub was closer but we never visited. Kevin and Sue was really friendly and helpful. Would return to this campsite.
